From a motoring magaine I have read an article about the blue sky results. How on earth did you come up with Long Beach, California in 11th place? I was staying with my son there during the month of August 2005 and every morning the sky would look as if it was about to rain. It never did, but the grey would eventually disappear for a few hours in the afternoon & the palest blue sky might appear. Here in Shepparton, Victoria, Australia WE have a sky that is unbelievably blue compared to the pathetic sky in Long Beach California.

Anya - The Blue Sky Explorer! August 5th 2006

Just wanted to say a big THANKS to all of you for sending me such encouraging messages over the last 3 months. It seems i've passed my travel bug on to many of you (although this was my plan all along!). Inspiring people to visit some of the countries I'd been to and written about was my ultimate goal and I was fortunate enough to be able to share some of my experiences with you on this website. I've been asked by some of you what my plans might be next. If I can get another job as rewarding as this one I'd be very happy! Perhaps a career in travel journalism is next, something that will help to alleviate my itchy feet syndrome! Cheers, and Happy Travelling :0) Anya x

Don't you think 25 locations are too little to make a specimen of the world? Are you planning any other locations? Are you looking for people helping you taking new shots?

Hi Anya, I am Belgian but lived for 17 years in Brazil (Rio de Janeiro) and loved your pictures at the Corcovado hill. It is one of the most beautiful places in the world. From now, Rio has also the most beautiful sky in the world, thanks to your project! Brazil has lots more of wonderful sites, such as southern region of the state Bahia, in my personal opinion, the 'paradise on earth', also with a great sky by day and night! It is a visit worth! Congrats for your nice work anyway! Regards! Jurgen - Belgium.

Blue Sky Explorer Diary

June 30th: Cornwall

Cornwall's relaxed charm and great climate brings thousands of holiday-makers here each year and I am lucky to be one of them! I'm staying in blossoming Padstow, which has also become known as Padstein due to the success of celebrity-chef Rick Stein's restaurants and seafood school!
