The Car

Nick and Barnaby's car - small but perfectly formed

The car that Nick and Barnaby will be driving in the Mongol rally is a 998cc, 1987 Mini Park Lane 30th anniversary edition, with a Mini Cooper body shell. The Mongol Rally can only be undertaken by cars that are under 1 litre - hence the little engine!

The car

The car itself only cost £750 with the boys spending £500 getting into a state where it could complete the rally!

The little Mini will have to cover 10,000 miles crossing twenty-one countries, five mountain ranges and two deserts to complete the Mongol Rally.

Fantastic car for a fantastic adventure. But why is your Park Lane blue, and how can a body shell be cooper?

The story in video

The boys let it all sink in - They made it!
